Does anyone actually get the washes it says on the packet of laundry liquid/powder/gel/ softener?
I know i put too much in but it never feels like enough if you just put one capful in?
Today i finished a bottle of comfort, i only got it last week and have prob done 12 washes with it....it says 38 on the bottle!!!

What do you mean 'it doesn't feel like enough'? For fabric softener, we use about half what it says, seems fine. Other people don't use it at all and say it's a useless product that we've been conned into using for no reason and there's probably some truth in that but you're using it at an alarming rate, plus doing 12 washes in a week, do you have a very big family?

Ours lasts months but there is only two of us.

Washing liquid we use less than recommended too and the washing still comes out clean.

I use half the recommended amount of powder and low temperature wash for most things and it's all clean. I barely ever use fabric softener so a bottle lasts absolutely ages.

I use half or less of the recommended amount and rarely use fabric conditioner so bottles last ages.

Why doesn't it feel like enough Confused

I use the recommended amount or a bit less generally. There's a "hygiene wash" I use in place of fabric softener for absorbant stuff, which recommends to put 2.5 capfuls in! That seems like loads so I just do 2/3 of one and it still comes out with the nice smell.

Can't get it where I am but try half a cup of white vinegar in place of fabric softener. Makes the clothes smell lovely and fresh.

I use less because we have a water softener fitted, I use about two thirds of the recommended amount and it still manages to get the stains out of the baby's bibs and the toddler's pink jeans.
