I feel so silly Blush

Basically, I drank a WKD when I got up. Just finished it and my chest feels tight, and all 'firey'. My heart feels all odd. I feel like there's hear rising to my head. It's like a drowning feeling. I'm obviously still getting oxygen as writing this. But it's so uncomfortable!

What is this?! Yes I know yiu shludlgn be drinking for breakfast... I never do. Don't know what came over me. Just fancied it and told myself it'd be okay because people drink Bucks Fizz for breakfast when it's Christmas

😂😂

Drank, I am a once in a blue moon drinker, if I had a WKD or equivalent in the morning, I'd have to take to my bed Grin

Every credit for being able to still type!!

Hugsgalore · 12/05/2020 10:18

@LongPauseNoReply yeah I probably should talk to the doctor about it. It been happening years but literally only ever happens if I have something sweet for breakfast. If I eat something full of protein it doesn't happen.

Mojitomogul · 12/05/2020 10:20

It will be what @LongPauseNoReply said. Especially if you drank it on an empty stomach. At Christmas before a bucks fizz you will often have been up for longer or have eaten something. Also questioning how you can stomach wkd in the morning or at any time Grin I wouldn't worry though it does just sound like a sugar rush

Rubychard · 12/05/2020 10:21

Last time I had a wkd I had a hangover before I left the pub. Dreadful stuff.

Clemmieandareallybigbunfight · 12/05/2020 10:24

Drinking alone as soon as you get up is not a good sign. I don't care that you say it's a one off, I think you need to think about how you got to the point of it being a one off iyswim.

StCharlotte · 12/05/2020 10:25

Next time add some port and turn it into a "Cheeky Vimto". You won't even care what happens!

beingsunny · 12/05/2020 10:27

Probably the half pound of sugar in it Grin

It got the the point of being a one off because I simply fancied it, and should've just had a can of Pepsi or something if I really Must have had something fizzy. Nothing at all behind it

I had a glass of wine last week at 10.30am and I was terribly judged by my mum lol.
As op I just fancied it 🤷🏼‍♀️ I opened the fridge to get milk out for a coffee and spotted the wine instead.
It certainly isn't normal for me and I definitely do not have any issues. Just fancied it and that was that.

OP I agree that it was probably a sugar rush, I wouldn't panic yet but lay off the booze before breakfast and if it happens again then definitely get seen by your Dr.

BrandyTrap · 12/05/2020 10:56

What a silly thing to do. You should’ve had a gin :)

Binglebong · 12/05/2020 11:16

Habit wise don't worry if it really was a one off. We are all doing strange things at the moment - the lack of routine affects everyone. Daft things happen!

Health wise I can't advise hut there seem to be some very knowledgable answers here.

FourPlasticRings · 12/05/2020 11:16

Maybe get yourself some sugar-free 'bubblegum' flavour pop for next time, OP. Or cherryade.

CrazyToast · 12/05/2020 11:38

WKD has tons of colouring and stuff in it. Maybe it was a reaction to that. Stick to Bucks Fizz in a morning ;-)

Pastaforall · 12/05/2020 11:42

Could it be heartburn? Has it gone away now?
