Fish bone in throat

I think I've got a bit of fish bone stuck in my throat.
I pulled out a few bones from my fish earlier, don't remember swallowing one but down one side of my throat it feels like something is there. I've tried coughing, a can of coke and swallowed bread dipped in water. Is there anything else I can try to remove it. That's if there is something there and it's not just all in my head.

Some tips here but

Most fish bones are very sharp. They can cut or cause an abrasion on the throat on their way down, even if they do not get stuck. In these cases, it may feel as though the bone is stuck in the throat, when in reality, it has already passed through the esophagus toward the stomach

I will never forget my DF having one stuck in his throat when I was a child, it was terrifying. Non stop coughing & trying to clear it & tears streaming down his face. So if you have managed bread it could just be a scratch?

I had this. Ended up waiting for ages in A and E and a young Dr put a camera inside to have a look. I am convinced he saw it and pushed it down as once the camera had gone and the anesthesia had worn off I was fine. My Mum had one and had a general to get it removed, I understand they cause problems if they remain stuck.

I think it's moved. I drank a can of coke something I never drink and had lots of bread. I also resorted to sticking my fingers further down my throat than I ever realised I could. I don't have the feeling of something in my throat any longer so hopefully it's managed to move.
I don't even remember actually swallowing one but after eating it felt like I had. I'm not even sure if it's just been psychosomatic because I picked a few bones out while eating!

Glad you sorted it out

I remember spending hours with dh in a&e because he thought he’d followed a fish bone and after the X-ray the doctor said it was just a scratch not the actual bone

We came home and he still felt like there was an actual bone there and lo and behold after coughing loudly a few times out came a bone at least half a centimetre long 😳
