'Nature-y' silver pendant for 10 year old

DD is about to turn 10 next month, or "the big one-oh" as she has taken to calling it. Top of her wish list is a piece of jewellery which would be from all of the family, which she wants to be able to wear her whole life. I think she's looking for some kind of significance and meaningfulness, and I am keen to try to meet this need. She struggles with anxiety and wants something that will remind her of all of us, although she clearly won't be able to, or probably want to wear it all the time.
For longevity of use, I am thinking a pendant, probably silver. I might have it engraved, if space allows.
She is into animals (preferably wild; wolves, hares, cats, foxes and the like), nature (trees, leaves, moon and stars etc) and associated symbolism (wings, feathers, lightning bolts, waves). She would probably love Alex Monroe or Michael Michaud, but their work comes with adult price tags.
Can anyone suggest anything that might be a good fit at around £50 or less?

Something like this tree of life necklace with space for family members names?

Impiz · 10/05/2020 01:25

Tree of life / knowledge - you can get solid silver ones starting from £10...

Try on Etsy - you could get a really nice vintage pendant.

Acorns are a nice shape.

Thank you for the ideas, definitely something to be investigated. The tree / leaves / seed theme seems quite productive!

Have a look at Skylarking Silver. Ruth makes it all by hand here on the Isle of Wight, has some stuff in the online shop and makes to order as well. She's my go-to for gifts, very talented and reasonably priced. Can work with you to make something in budget if you see something you like that is too much etc.

Etsy is brilliant for this type of thing, I put in £50 and UK and it came up with all these.
I love the ammonite particularly because the spiral is the continuing cycle of life, death and rebirth and the symbol representing eternal life.
But there are hares, noons and stars and allsorts.

Keep an eye on this etsy shop. You can look her up on Twitter too and see since recent stuff, she's looking to sell again. Beautiful silver casts of wild flowers.

I've had some lovely seashell pendants from this designer. She casts them from shells found on the local beach so they're really accurate.

How careful is she with her things? I’m just thinking I would have immediately lost something like that at age 10; so keep that in mind when deciding how much to spend! If she actually looks after her things then obviously disregard Grin

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 10/05/2020 10:28

I make cheap jewellery, if you pm me an address I will send you a fox necklace, no charge, it won’t be real silver so won’t be a lifelong treasure just a novelty one as a change from the good one you are getting. I make lots of stuff and have far too many for my own use 😁 would be more than happy for someone else to have one

If you excuse the name, Hairy Growler makes some really lovely, unusual stuff.
