I bought myself some Molton Brown perfume last week. So luxurious and lovely.

Things are a bit bleak. Have you ordered anything as a treat?

OP posts:

A Monica Vinader ring (birthday present to myself)

An Anya Hindmarch bag (also a birthday present)

Marc Jacobs ‘Daisy daze’ perfume (or something like that, I can’t remember now). Again, a birthday present.

A cross stitch kit

A bedspread and two matching sets of bedding

That’s probably going to have to be it for a while now!

I want that flamethrower! Hoping our Lidl still has them in stock.

I've not bought anything very exciting. Apart from endless amounts of food and drink because none of us appear to be able to stop eating, my list is

Fake tan (I figure I might be more willing to go for a run if my legs look less pasty)
Nose pore strips, after DS and I watched too many YouTube videos Grin
Footner socks
Oh and hair bleach because I can't keep looking at my roots!

I'm suffering Primark withdrawal symptoms so might have to buy some clothes from somewhere soon.

Domino's takeaway
Choc and mint flavour teabags
A book about the history of photography

Some new hand shears, for pruning shrubs and Ivy etc. they are made in Italy and quite stylish for a garden tool. Also bought a tin of spray adhesive, as always going diy stuff.

I spent the money I would have used to pay for my holiday this year on some new shelving units for my lounge which I’ve just decorated

glitteringfishy · 08/05/2020 22:34

I have a box of Lush stuff coming tomorrow which I’m very excited about, including some red henna because I feel like a change.

Also some rainbow striped dungarees and a lovely plant pot which were totally random purchases I forgot of made until I got the dispatch email yesterday Blush

Wigeon · 08/05/2020 22:39

@Kez200 - ooh, that Nancarrow thing sounds nice - how did you order it? I had a quick look on their website but couldn’t see it under “shop”.

Wigeon · 08/05/2020 22:39

Where are people getting delivered afternoon tea from?

Kez200 · 08/05/2020 22:49

@Widgeon

They have probably sold out. Keep an eye on their website for the next one. Or ring them up they are really friendly! This particular box was Cornwall delivery only. Partly I suspect due to fresh food and flowers.

Staywithmemyblood · 08/05/2020 22:50

Some bed socks from the Socks Shop. They are super soft and cosy 😍

@Wigeon one of our local cafes is doing afternoon tea deliveries - must admit, I’m tempted 🧁🍰☕️

Have you bought anything to treat yourself lately?
chunkyrun · 08/05/2020 22:50

A new shower curtain and a Nintendo switch lite with Animal Crossing.

DukeOfEarlGrey · 08/05/2020 22:56

I thought I’d been really frugal during lockdown but now I think about it...

  • flowers and a small candle from Tesco most weeks
  • two paperbacks
  • DIY eyebrow tint off eBay
  • new cordless Dyson vacuum because the old one died
  • and have just ordered some fancy skincare online

Quite a bit then! I am by myself in lockdown and it’s felt really helpful to have flowers and the odd candle etc. to create a nice environment and keep me sane!

delilahbucket · 08/05/2020 22:56

Drinks Bakery biscuits (again), a pair of Converse, a Joe Brown hoodie, the Chemistry Brand handcream, bedding, various running/walking items, a bra, kitchen knives, chopsticks, slippers.
Bit of a long list and I think I've missed half of it!
