Not a clue! But B and Q have a calculator on their website that you put the dimensions in and it tells you how many litres of paint you will need if that helps?

Is it previously painted? If so, and the colour is very similar, 5L may well do it.

We've used Johnston's matt and are going to need to go over it with a top coat of something hardier after just a few months.

DramaAlpaca · 05/05/2020 23:52

I think that'll be plenty for a couple of coats of paint in a small bedroom.

NewtonPulsifer · 06/05/2020 00:32

Yes I would say so. We did a box room recently, two coats light colour on white but used about 4litres so plenty left for touch ups.

The tin will tell you how many square meters it covers

SpaceCadet4000 · 06/05/2020 01:43

We just did our (admittedly quite large) bedroom with 2 gallons (US), which is about 7.5 litres. I'd say 5 litres is probably okay.

Thanks 🤞🏻Crossed it does it as THats all I have

Yes it has been previously painted

It might also depend on what you use to paint it... you can waste a lot using a roller. Either a pad or brush may make it go a bit further.

Lardlizard · 06/05/2020 08:22

Thanks for the tip
I did think about just doing it all with a brush
Would take longer I guess but surely would waste less

Depends on what you mean by small bedroom. Often on here 'small' rooms and houses are actually quite large. But yes, measure and do the maths.

Thanks for the advice, the using the brush rather than a roller really helped, plus I’m impressed with the finish with the brush and no spraying you can get with a roller
There’s even a bit left over 😵
