Does anyone else have period pains AFTER their period?

Just that really. I get cramps in the days leading up to my period, and cramps maybe the first day. Then nothing for the duration. But then the day after my stops I get a full day or two of period style cramping.

It's so annoying. Does anyone else get this? I've had multiple scans over the past couple of years for other reasons and none of them has ever shown anything up.

They've been like this since I had my son 4 years ago (via c-section).

I get pelvic pain throughout my cycle because of Endometriosis. A lot of the pain is from scar tissue/adhesions. If you had a c-section you could have developed adhesions though I believe they are more common after multiple surgeries.
I would speak to your GP when you’re able to, it does sound like adhesions.

I've been checked out for endometriosis and they said I didn't have it Sad

Did they do a laparoscopy? That’s the only way to rule out endo.
Endo isn’t the only cause of adhesions. Google adhesions after c-section and you’ll be surprised at how common it is.

Can they, anything be done about it though?

If it is adhesions after?

Afaik adhesions aren’t routinely removed. If they are severe and/or causing significant pain then they will remove them.

The thing with adhesions is they almost always come back, the more surgery you have, the more likely you are to develop scar tissue. It’s a vicious cycle.

I’ve had around 11-12 laparoscopies for endo and adhesion removal, within a year I’m back to square one. Last year I had my Fallopian tube removed because it was a mangled mess due to scar tissue.

Although painful, it really is best to leave them be unless they are causing significant damage or pain.
