I'm 56 and been reading Jilly since I was were a lass of 18. I always, ALWAYS say this every 1st May as it's ingrained in me. Not sure now if Rivals or The Man etc

It's definitely Rivals. I've just reread Riders and Rivals and am reading something else before I start Polo again. I feel like I need to eke them out a bit 😂

I think they are brilliantly seasonal books

I like Rivals’ description of the NYE party and in the autumn with the apples thudding to the ground in the orchard. Polo is very summery - all that Californian sunshine and mimosas, and TMWMHJ with the hot dry summer, Boris’s nanny with her sun bleached hair and the cracks developing in the dry earth on Rannaldinni’s estate.

I am actually reading Pandora right now. It’s been a while but I’d forgotten how awful Anthea is!

OMG. I've just seen I posted on this thread back in 2020 saying I was reading Riders again. It was free on Audibles a couple of months ago, so I listened to it yet again. Still as good.
