Fairy cakes no cases...do you grease your silocane bun tin?

Run out of cake cases made mixture! Have a silcone 12 hole bun tin very tiny mini cakes one. Do I have to grease it

I never grease my silicone bake ware...I just leave to cool a bit and just sort of pop the cake out easily.

I’m surprised yours stuck like that with silicone. I think Lakeland (probably other places too) do a cake release spray.

Ah I tried to get them out whilst quite warm...Ive done another batch and am letting them cool right down. Take 2!!!

In my experience, if they cooked properly, they will come out easily without greasing (but you do need to wait for them to cool). Undercooking by just a minute makes a difference to how stuck they get.

I use a silicone pastry brush and some melted butter to grease or they often stick a bit.

If you have baking parchment you can cut little squares and fold to fit the muffin cases .Btw these are cakes I made for my dogs birthday 😂

I use frylite on my cake tins! Works really well.
