I know it’s too early to tell but what do you think will happen for exams next year if the current year 10 and 12 will ore than likely miss a terms worth of work?
Students are quite often taught the syllabus in different orders and also some schools will be better equipped to facilitate home schooling at the moment than others.

There was obviously discussions about this in DS's class before school ended. The conclusion was that there would probably be adjustments to the grade boundaries. He's Y10 and is supposed to have 4-6 hours work to complete each day but it seems to be a lot less.

What are the options?
Either make the exams easier, with an opt out possible or a choice of questions to they can avoid the bits they haven't studied in class.
Or try and catch them up with a longer school day or later exams in June / July rather than May / June.
Or do teacher assessments instead of exams again (unlikely in my view, but it just depends on where we are with Covid by the end of 2020).
None are without problems, but nothing about this situation is!
