Ordering a takeaway tonight - what's your order?

Having a takeaway tonight because our local Indian has just reopened for just eat deliveries and I'm so fed up with cooking. So for the 5 of us (2 adults, 2 teens, one 10 year old) the order is:

1 x chicken pakora
1x mixed pakora
1 x chicken tikka makhani
1 x butter chicken
1 x lamb saag
2 x saffron rice
2 x naan bread

Anything you'd like added to the order?

I normally order saag bhaji, but might try saag paneer, sounds nice.

Vegetable samosas are gorgeous, hot and spicy and salty

We found out the Indian in the next village was still open and so have been having Indian every Saturday for the past month. It's heaven.

This Saturday for the 2 of us will be:

Onion Bhajis
Poppadoms and dip
Bombay aloo
Garlic chicken and veg rice
Chicken madras and veg rice
Garlic naan

And I'll finish what's left for lunch on Sunday

We just had one on Saturday and went tandoori chicken for starter, chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka balti, pilau rice, side of saag paneer and colcha naan. So good but next time I think I'll get a spicier curry. Grin

I was thinking that as well @Lyricallie, it's only me and I go for king prawns so get an Indian infrequently because of the cost.

But it would be nice to have one with a bit of a kick.

We had an Indian last night, it was divine.

Chicken Chatt
1/2 tandoori chicken
Lamb Rogan Josh
Lamb Bhuna
Sagg aloo
Garlic Nann
Plain rice

Between me and DH with leftovers for breakfast.
It really hit the spot.

ZuluJemima · 28/04/2020 12:54

If they've got it, I'll have a Jamdani Hash

Sometimes I'm tempted to ring up and say "I like medium spice, chicken, prawn and spinach. Surprise me".

Chicken tikka dhansak, mushroom pilau rice, garlic and cheese naan, with sag paneer, bang bang potatoes (no idea what the spice mix it but it’s heavenly, dry no sauce) and aloo tikki 😍
I work in an Indian, sometimes chef makes me one off dishes and they’re all so good but I never know what they’re called so can’t order them again 😂 my latest favourite is dhansak noodles!

Impatientwino · 28/04/2020 13:24

@pineappledanish that is a great idea!

BirdieFriendReturns · 28/04/2020 13:41

I’m sad that nobody has come along to say how irresponsible we are. “How DARE you other takeout!” Or “I hope you bathed it all in bleach.”

Last week I had:
Chicken pakora
Chicken passanda
Peshwari naan
Poppadoms

Bluesheep8 · 28/04/2020 13:55

Pickle tray and poppadoms
Chicken saag with plenty of fresh coriander.

Cakeweek · 28/04/2020 19:24

Muttar paneer
Prawn puree (not purée but I can't think how to spell it)
Biryani of some sort
Naan

Much nicer than leavy over pasta grumps

Shatandfattered · 28/04/2020 19:46

Lamb tikka starter
Veg pakora
South Indian garlic chilli chicken
Saffron rice
Salt chilli and garlic chips
Poppadoms
Spiced onions
