That’s from the World Economic Forum, so reputable.

I just don’t see how we can. The cost to our children, to their education, to our economies, to eradicating poverty and hunger - it’s too much.

At what point do we accept that the virus is amongst us and we have to find ways to live with it?

I agree entirely, @lljkk. We have to restart education and we have to restart the economy. Otherwise I fear many more will die of poverty, hunger and violence than will die of COVID-19.

Working from home for those who can, not going on certain holidays, keeping your distance in shops, limiting travel, all are things that could be done until 2022 (or until a vaccine is available) to reduce the impact. The current restrictions could not continue that long, as the economy would be such that people would probably be bankrupt or starve.

Well kids are getting ill too now so maybe people can stop whingeing about ‘only’ protecting the elderly

There have always been kids ill with this just nothing like at the same rate as those 60 plus .
