Am I having a miscarriage?

I have had light bleeding and slight cramps, I rang the doctors yesterday they told me to do a pregnancy test, I did 4 pregnancy tests which were all positive, I did a clear blue test which said I was 2-3 weeks. I’ve not bled enough to fill a pad and the blood is dark brownish in colour, the cramping has also stopped. Does this sound like a miscarriage? This is also my first pregnancy so I am not sure what to expect. Thank you

My miscarriage started light like a period and over a few hours got very heavy and painful and then it becomes obvious you are essentially having contractions and you will know when the foetus has passed out.

Rather than phone the doctor I would phone your EPAS - you should have been given the number at your midwife appt. if not google it for your local maternity hospital. Early pregnancy assessment, this is what they are there for.

How far along are you ? A pregnancy test will still be positive during a miscarriage unfortunately. After a miscarriage is complete they usually say wait two weeks and then take a pregnancy test to check it's negative and the miscarriage is complete.

Sending you 💐 you just never know, the body is weird. I hope it works out.

Please op don't ask that here, phone the gp again. I've had the most awful advice on Mumsnet. Best not to post anything seruous here Flowers

@handiies the GP is not the right place to phone. Apart from the fact most of them are closed or on skeleton services just now.

Your local EPAS is the right place to phone in regard to a possible miscarriage.

I think the gp is the right person to call, then they will redirect.

Ministers are telling people to use the health service now as so many have ignored it and a and e and they're worried that people will suffer in silence
