Going back to work

We have shut down for 3 weeks as originally the lockdown/social distancing rules seemed intense.

Now with time to consider PHE & industry guidance will it company can re open on a reduced service implementing social distancing rules.

This is great on paper but does not take into consideration how we will manage the he non work related need for social contact with other our colleagues.

Yes in carrying out our work duties we can social distance, but as we are friends etc can we really social distance at all times?
We are a close knit team, I know I will find it hard not to get within 2m of my colleagues and I know they will feel the same

Honestly OP, you are adults. The safety of your colleagues, and the viability of your workplace, will depend on your ability to stay 2m away from each other and maintain hygiene restrictions.

Unless your job is starring in the world's largest orgy I think you can communicate at a distance.

I've been at work during the whole of the 'lockdown' and have managed fine - I'm there to work not socialise. You'll feel better once you're back and in a routine again.

Rebooting I’ve got the giggles and thought “Jesus is social distancing at work?”

Sorry, as you were.
