Thinking of buying a nutribullet 600 but worried it might just sit gathering dust after the first week. Does anyone here have one and do they recommend?

I have the light grey one. I can’t remember what wattage that is but I use it all the time. I’m vegan so needed something decent to deal with nuts and it does the job really well. I make soups, curry bases, pasta sauces, pesto, houmous and probably more things. The cup bits go in the dishwasher. I’d definitely recommend it.

The only thing that sometimes annoys me is sometimes I have to blend things in batches because it’s not as big as my old food processor.

Bought one recently and I love it. It's size means you can easily put it in a cupboard so it doesn't have to take up counter space. I only use it for smoothies and frappes/iced teas, but I use it daily and is much better for crushing ice than my blender/liquidizer.

I got one free with a good food magazine subscription about 4 years ago. At the time I looked at it and thought “I will never use that” but I use it all the time! It’s great!

(It also makes beautiful nesquik chocolate milk in it but I know that’s not the point Blush)

I bought one last year and I still love it. Of course I used it much more at the beginning, but it's not gathering dust and I am still using it at least once a week.
Initially I loved making smoothies with it, and the fact I could hide a lot of food I would not have eaten, or not in that moment. Great for me to blend not-so-perfect fruit in, or veg leftovers or even add cereals/granola.
Now I use it for the odd smoothie, but also for soups, to blend baby food, crush ice for our Friday night cocktails, make breadcrumbs, grate cheese, make almond ground from whole almonds and probably more that I can't remember.

Iv bought a Morrison's version last week only £30 and it's fantastic. In a week Iv made frozen daiquiris, iced coffee, smoothies, mixed pancake batter it's brilliant.

Love mine. I do keep it out on the counter because it is used so often, at least once a day in this house. Smoothies, curry pastes, milling nuts/seeds/spices, crushing ice, soups, pesto etc. As mentioned previously, the only downside is the cup size being smaller than a traditional food processor.

We use ours for frothing you milk for iced coffees! But it is handy for other things

I had the 600w one, and I used it every day. I killed it. I now have the 1200w one with the little blender jug. It’s MUCH better! (The juices are smoother too!) Highly recommend. The blender jug makes the best hummus too!

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 22/04/2020 11:24

I killed 2 cheap versions before I got mine. Use it a lot for smoothies (and chocolate milkshakes Blush), and it’s still going strong so would recommend getting it, especially over a cheaper one.

PotteringAlong · 22/04/2020 15:51

Ooh, how do you grate cheese in it? Literally just bung it in and blitz it?

Givemestrengthorgin · 22/04/2020 16:01

Thanks everyone... I have just ordered one, exciting!

The solution for curry paste, never thought of it.Dd uses it for smoothies, she'll never notice...

I got one last Christmas from my in laws - I hadn't even asked for it, and it's the best gift I never knew I wanted! I still use it every evening to make a smoothie for the morning, and also use it to make houmous and pesto.

It's definitely the design that does it for me - the fact that you drink the smoothie from the cup you make it in, and it's so easy to wash etc. Not sure about the claims of getting more nutrients out or whatever it is it claims, but as a blender it's the bollocks!

justilou1 · 23/04/2020 11:18

Btw - I had the nutrininja system - twice. The bowl blender thing is fabulous, but both times it broke on it’s base. I think the parts it’s made of are not strong enough for the engine. (Very layman’s description for why it broke the same way twice.)

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 23/04/2020 11:50

Do the people who use it for things like curry paste find that the taste/smell clings. I’m scared to use it for stuff like that in case it effects the taste of my smoothies.

I recently purchased one and I adore it. Because of its small size, it can be easily stored in a cupboard and does not require counter space. I only use it for smoothies and frappes/iced teas, but I use it on a daily basis and it crushes ice much better than the backrooms blender/liquidizer.

Fraaahnces · 10/11/2022 04:01

I have killed a couple of them, but used them for years at a time, and so did my teenagers. If you want to put ice in them, I highly recommend getting the one with the highest wattage you can get. I love that they take up very little Realestate and they’re easy to hurl in the car for travel. And they make fab cocktails, too. (Priorities)
