Have you been thinking recently, that after all of this has passed .....maybe is time to start to do smthing different, new, exciting, rewarding etc.? Has the lockdown made you think about your current job and begin to question, do you really want to get back to your current workplace?

Just before lockdown, I had an interview lined up at another company. It's been postponed and I've been WFH at my current job since, but right now I'm not feeling very appreciated. Apparently the other company might be considering Skype interviews, so if that goes ahead, i get offered it and the terms are right then I may well jump ship. I've got almost 13 years experience at my current job but management don't seem too interested in helping me progress. I've also been looking at doing an OU degree in criminology, not sure what I'd do with that though!

I was very fed up with my job and workplace before lockdown and had been trawling job adverts. I am now thinking about a career change once it's all over. Life is too short to be stuck in job that you no longer enjoy.

I have just started a new job. Bit weird as I've now done more weeks out of the office than in it.

I definitely think this is an opportunity to reassess how happy you are with your current setup. Not just career wise but everything.

Go for it. 13 years a long time and you need to feel valued for sure. Wish you the best Smile

I started a new job just before all of this too. Worked 4 days in the office and the last 4 weeks from home. I'm not sure if it's for me tbh but I can't afford to be out of work atm so am going to reassess when (if?) everything goes back to normal. I honestly think I'd like to be a TA. Only prob is I assume it's lower paid than what I get now.

I am going to go back to university and change career. I have enjoyed the time to reflect and think of about my skill set and strengths 💪

I like my job. But I've been doing similar roles for the last 18 years and I'd really like to do something more meaningful, possibly for a charity or an NGO. I'm considering studying a master's in
Global Development.

I was already thinking about this before the lockdown, though, but now I have lots of time on my hands to really think about it and plan my next steps

Reflecting and having a plan (which may or may not work out) is super useful, and keep you going Wink
