Come talk to me about paddling pools, and the best one you've had ...

Hi. Now that it's unlikely our holiday will go ahead, I want to try and make our garden a fun place to be this summer! This will definitely entail getting a paddling pool. There's a fair bit of choice out there, but the reviews on many pools are quite mixed.
I have my eye on the Bestway and Intex 'easy up' ones, but lots of people complain that the upper ring quickly deflates. It seems a paddling pool is quite a difficult purchase to get right.
Ok, my requirements: it would primarily be for a teen and tween, so a toddler pool is out. Something about 8ft in size sounds about right. It would go on my patio, which appears to be very level, so no worries there. A cover is a must. I don't think I'll need a filter, but will add some chemicals to keep the water clean and algae free. Oh, and I'm in Scotland, so chances are the weather won't be roasting. I don't want the upkeep of a hot tub, so that's out. Probably can't get them for love nor money at the moment anyway.
I'm a single mum who's not fantastic at DIY - plus I have dyspraxia - so ease of assembly is essential. The rigid pools look trickier in that regard.
So, something sturdy and fun would be great. I'm thinking that a long rectangular one might get warmer than one of the round, deeper ones.
Would love your recommendations. Thanks.

Funny reading this as I was looking for one last night and came across the easy up one you mention, it looks really good but the reviews are so mixed, some really good ones then loads of bad ones. But the pool itself would have been ideal as we have a paddling pool but it’s literally for just dipping your toes in and I want one I can actually sit in! I looked at the frame style ones but they seem a lot of effect what with pumps and filters etc, I’m not sure how much use we would get out of it! I liked the look of the intex 7.5 round family pool with chair so was swaying towards that one

We’ve had the Bestway/Intex frame ones. Pretty easy to assemble, as the frame slots together. The filter is straightforward and you can buy sets of the essential chemicals in tablet form to avoid the calculation of quantity. A cover is also essential to keep bugs and leaves out.

The inflatable ones don’t look sturdy enough to me.

To add, ours have been 12”, big enough for teenagers to use.

Thanks to you both, for rescuing me from ignored thread shame Grin
Gah, I'm still on the fence with paddling pool options.

😂 I had a look again at the frame pool and they do look good, maybe I’m just being lazy with maintenance, we live next to a big outdoor paddling pool so I’m not sure how much use we will get out of it but mind you I doubt it will be open this year!

And we live right next door to an indoor swimming pool!
It was a huge novelty when we first moved in, but the kids use it surprisingly seldom (especially now, ha ha!).
