A long way from loved ones? Living abroad with elderly parents at home?

I wanted to start a little support thread for all those people wo are worried about loved ones who they obviously can't see now, but may not be able to see for a very long time.

We emigrated to NZ from London 6 months ago and I was having terrible problems with both living here, and my marriage (in relationships) before Covid 19. Now I am on the edge - depressed and scared.

My parents are in their mid 70s and live in West Sussex, fortunately, literally on the sea front. They are frail though - dad has Parkinson's and mum is tough but has still had a stroke, hip replacement and walks badly as a result of polio as a child. Both have had fals in isolation. Their area is relatively lightly effected and they are being good, so I am not as worried about them contracting the virus as just general life struggles, other illnesses and depression.

I am obsessed with the news and any ray of light, or conversely worrying news - no travel until we have a vaccine, years until a vaccine, no return to normal travel..... Permanently high air fares.
If we go do we have to isolate for two weeks until we can see them?
In my darkest hours, will they die before I can get back?

We have flights booked for July and I'm keeping everything crossed but today's news that Britons are being advised not to book holidays this summer is a blow.
