Looking for primary sources online

Would somebody be able to point me in the direction of an online database to find primary sources from the nineteenth century?

I'm in the middle of an MA and can't get out to archives etc.

I've already looked at jstor, BNA, National Archives.

What kind of things are you looking for? Fiction/periodicals/newspapers/law reports etc? You should have access to a lot of digitised archives from your university library. the British library is also fab and they’ll be happy to point you to what you need (digitally) if you drop the appropriate librarian an email.

Thank you @KnitFastDieWarm that's really helpful.

I am looking for anything really - newspaper articles, speeches, flyers, minutes, legislation - but relating to quite a specific, small area, which makes it more difficult.

I just thought that if a few people put some ideas in I'd be able to scout a few websites out!

The National Archives is still running its online advice service Tuesday to Saturday

@herecomesgeralt I’m doing a PhD with a big focus on c19th british culture so if you tell me your specific area (PM me if you want) I might be able to help Smile

@KnitFastDieWarm sorry I don't know how to PM - I only use the app! I'm focusing on the New Poor Law and women.

You're very kind!
