Surprised my Neighbour’s cleaner is still coming every Friday

Just that really.

I know they both work and are home schooling 2 kids but surely their cleaner shouldn’t still be coming?

She’s got a big red car that she parks on their drive every Friday so they’re not even trying to pretend she’s not there.

I know some of you will say I should wind my neck in and I wouldn’t say anything to anyone in real life that’s why I’m having a rant on here!!!

I'm sure the cleaner is taking proper precautions and the family are keeping their distance to create a safe working environment for her.

The cleaner is allowed to work.

As long as it's not directly affecting you, it's best to just shrug your shoulders and move on.... and that's how pandemics spread...

I give up. The level of ignorance on the level of personal responsibility to self and fellow man required - is truly horrifying. This is why we will be in the position we are for a very long time to come.

My cleaner hasn't been since the beginning of March. I still think you need to wind your neck in. There could be a whole heap of reasons that the cleaner is still coming.

My cleaner isn’t coming any more, but I’m still paying her. (She’s cleaned for me for over ten years, used to babysit for my kids when they were younger as well.)

I do think part of the answer here is that if you’re lucky enough to have the same income that you did four weeks ago - and let’s face it, lockdown is a pretty cheap way to live - you should carry on paying people if you possibly can. That way it’s going to be a lot easier for them to stay at home.
