Weight loss plateaued- just accept it or keep going?

I went on a NY diet and lost a stone between January and February. I didn't do anything too hard, cut out the crap, especially bread and fizzy juice and did two yoga classes a week.

1st March I was 9 stone.

Since then I've been eating relatively healthy and actually doing more exercise. I've been doing 10000 steps a day five days a week and those Kayla Itsines workouts 3 days a week.

I'm still 9 stone. I'm only 5'2 so it hangs on me, especially my thighs. I feel any further changes to my diet would be extreme but I have been toying with couch to 5k.

Any ideas?

Weight loss is mostly diet I’m sorry to say rather than exercise BUT low calorie or restrictive diets are not sustainable. If you have cut out crap, fizzy juice & bread then it’s portion sizes.
A banana can be 110 calories whilst a biscuit could be 39 calories so, even whilst eating healthy foods, it’s easy to over eat calories.
I say this as someone who did weights, running & yoga 6 days a week & was super fit.
When I suddenly had health problems that made me sedentary it wasn’t just my exercise that changed, it was diet. I put on weight.
2 stone on later I decided to do something about it.
I logged onto My Fitness Pal and started logging and weighing everything-accurately-that I consumed. It was eye opening. Especially as my TDEE said to maintain my weight I needed just 1650 cals per day, so to lose I needed to reduce by 20%.

I have lost over 2 stone. Now I’m lighter I still eat chocolate, cake, crisps BUT I log every mouthful. If I have a calorific piece of cake at lunch I will reduce calories in the evening, if I have a few glasses of wine one night and overdo the calories for the day, I will reduce the next day or two to make up for it.
The realisation of how many calories are actually in things is eye opening.
depending on your age you may be classed as normal BMI. That said, when I was 2 stone heavier and looking like a Buddha I was still ‘normal’ range although I was fat, whilst people with a normal BMI but round tummy would be classed as in the dangerous range because BMI is only a basic health risk indicator. However the amount of calories in avocado, walnuts, salmon & olive oil -all healthy fats-are calorific.

Yes, I am right in the middle of the green BMI point but I look pudgy.

Calorie counting always sounds so dull but if it took me down a dress size...
