Does anyone have any tips for keeping wasps out of the garden? I have loads of the little fuckers buzzing around while we're trying to have a civilised dinner outside. We seem to have this problem most years so any advice would be welcomed!

They used to hibernate in our wood store, then wake up when we brought it in to use. Had our first one today, hate them. Every year they would attempt to build a nest in our shed of all places. We just squirt the nests with a spray and bobs your uncle they are gone.

As kids we would fill jam jars 3/4 full with water smear jam or honey on the rim and inside then put those by the bins and count how many had drowned. You could try that when dining al fresco.

Ive never seen so many wasps at this time of year before. It's ridiculous.

We had one in the compost bin, a blast with the pressure washer soon sorted it...don't try it yourself though, we only did because we couldn't get anybody to come out.

We had a nest in the shed last year we couldn’t use the garden most of the summer and I daren't go out to hang the laundry because they would just attack me

We got a spray from B&Q similar to the one used by the pest control people(we’ve used them previously) dh went in fully kitted out at night and they were dead by the morning

On a side note their nests are amazing, almost beautiful, as we saw when we had to get rid of it and the dead wasps.....just not in my garden Grin
