Why are biscuits so offensive on mumsnet?

An argument that "takes the biscuit"

(And also possibly, "The Biscuit Game," but you might not want to Google that.)

AdaColeman · 15/04/2020 10:38

It means “No comment” and is a reference to Gordon Brown’s infamous MN webchat.

sleepwhenidie · 15/04/2020 10:40

It usually means someone is being so VVU or goady that they don’t merit engaging with. Sort of ‘oh just shut up and have a biscuit’ Wink

Sunshineeeee · 15/04/2020 10:42

Thank you! I might have offered someone one whilst being polite 😳😳😳😳... gently leaves mumsnet back to be a passive reader..

What Ada said! Impressive that it is still being used although the reason is now lost in the mists of time.

lifestooshort123 · 15/04/2020 13:39

I thought it was a doughnut, as in... what a doughnut!! 😜

AdaColeman · 15/04/2020 14:20
Biscuit
TheEndIsBillNighy · 15/04/2020 14:21

I thought it was to symbolise someone being a tit 🤣

TheEndIsBillNighy · 15/04/2020 14:22

Just to clarify, my tits don’t look like biscuits BiscuitBiscuit

Katinski · 15/04/2020 14:33

@TheEndisBillNighy - not just a tit but an entitled* tit?

MockersxxxxxxxSocialDistancing · 15/04/2020 14:39

an entitled tit?

Baroness Jammie Dodgers?

Maybeimweird · 15/04/2020 14:45

I always wondered this! I thought it was a flower! As in sarcastic like 'aw you little princess have a flower!' Grin

whodunit3 · 15/04/2020 14:48

I always though it was because the biscuit icon resembles a tit...

Grin
Sunshineeeee · 15/04/2020 16:22

@Maybeimweird I originally thought it was a flower too
