I've got a 15 month old - awkward little things to entertain ;)

I put mine on our balcony with 2 tubs, one of soapy water, and one clean water. Emptied a load of waterproof toys onto the floor, gave her a brush and showed her how to scrub them and rinse them. Then we lined them up on a towel on the floor. Then we started again. Lasted AGES.

I second water play! A tub of some kind, don't need to add loads of water if inside, add some vegetables and a scrubber so they can help you 'clean' the veggies - we also do clean the toys, animals, whatever we can find basically 😂 if you have any you could add a drop of food colouring to the water. My little one at that age loved taking things out of one tub and putting them in another. I usually do water play before bath time so it doesn't matter if they're wet anyway.

Various size plastic tubs and plates and spoons with dry pasta or rice (if you’ve got any spare Grin )

Supervised of course Blush

Hellohello2020 · 13/04/2020 21:10

That's the age mine started liking cars and wooden train tracks

BertieBotts · 13/04/2020 21:12

Yes water play in any shallow tub. I had a spare cutlery drawer insert (don't ask) and it works really well because the different sections are like little channels for bath boats etc.

Do you get some independent play time? If you don't it's worth working on that, too. Little by little and build it up.

I got mine magna doodles recently and they love them.

Some great ideas here! I have a 16 mo and we have been learning all the nursery rhymes, made some Rice Krispie cakes, colouring in aka scribbling on paper and throwing the crayons around the kitchen 🤦‍♀️

I’ve found moving her between rooms has helped a lot so we spent a while playing in her bedroom today rather than the lounge with some older toys she hasn’t played with for a while. I’ve also been taking toys outside in the shade while the weather has been nice, same toys just a change of scenery!

FairlowWonder · 13/04/2020 21:15

Putting spaghetti through the holes in an upside down colander you might have to help a little as she’s a bit young for this.

Banging on kitchen pans with a wooden spoon.

Painting, play dough etc

Sit her in the bath and roll a ball down the slope part.
