Sherry is not nice for me
Cream sherry I used to drink at university as it was cheap and marginally more palatable!

Never heard of it being mixed, tends to be drunk neat in small doses. I think it's a fortified wine.

Google?

kingkuta · 13/04/2020 19:22

What type of sherry is it? Sherry is a fortified wine and there are lots of different types eg fino, amontillado, cream etc they range from light, dry wines to darker, heavier cream wines
The dry sherries are nice over ice and cream ones just nice to sip on their own. I think any type of sherry would be horrible with coke. Unless you normally drink coke with wine?

RestYourHead · 13/04/2020 19:24

Mmmm sherryGrin
Try it OP, you will like it

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/04/2020 19:24

I think it would be horrible with coke - sorry! Usually drunk on its own, or if it's a dry sherry, could be drunk with a little ice, or chilled. It's stronger than ordinary wine.

LordEmsworth · 13/04/2020 19:24

Do not mix it with coke, or anything.

A very cold, dry sherry is old fashioned excellence. None of your sweets or creams.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 13/04/2020 19:25

This reminds me I have a bottle of Tio Pepe I bought for Christmas but it didn't get touched. Mmmm!

kingkuta · 13/04/2020 19:29

Just fyi I did an Aldi online wine order last week and they delivered in 2 days. Just in case some leftover sherry doesnt see you through the month Smile

TwigTheWonderKid · 13/04/2020 19:31

How can you have reached adulthood without knowing what sherry is?

BooseysMom · 13/04/2020 19:32

I had a bottle of Waitrose cream sherry which went down the sink. It's foul sickly stuff that always gives me a thick head. My DN used to neck gallons of the stuff though!

awaynboilyurheid · 13/04/2020 19:35

Lovely before dinner with ice! If you find olives they go very well with it!

mintbiscuit · 13/04/2020 19:36

Chill it in the fridge. It’s lovely chilled and apparently how it should be drunk according to the people of Jerez.

LittleBearPad · 13/04/2020 19:37

Don’t put coke in it. What type is it.

forthrelifeofme · 13/04/2020 19:44

I'm an adult that has know idea what sherry is Blush I am drinking it with coke. Blush it's the only way to stomach it Grin. I've had a rough week and wanted a drink after the kids and the new parrots biting. I'm willing to drink anything with anything to relax ConfusedGrin

If I was going to mix, I'd go for lemonade rather than coke with sherry (I have vague memories of it being offered as a 'grown up drink' for the kids at Christmas - like snowballs)

PurBal · 13/04/2020 19:47

I love sherry. But not with anything.

Zisforstripyoss · 13/04/2020 20:11

I love sherry. All it needs it some ice. Yummy.

LittleBearPad · 13/04/2020 21:11

What picture?

BackforGood · 13/04/2020 21:20

Sherry is lovely, but you drink it neat, or with ice at a push.

Coke sounds disgusting

forthrelifeofme · 13/04/2020 21:28

LittleBearPad · 13/04/2020 21:32

It’s a sweet sherry. It should be drunk neat. Go careful sherry can give you a foul hangover.

kingkuta · 13/04/2020 21:38

Mmmm, that looks a lovely one. Definitely drink it neat.

Moonshinemisses · 13/04/2020 22:01

Sherry with coke. Wtf woman!! ( how does it taste?). Be careful I got really pissed on sherry a couple years ago, worst hangover ever.
