When does it start to feel good?!

Exercise! I think I was fit in my late 20s but now I'm in my late 30s, and two difficult pregnancies and births, raising small children and a moderately serious injury have taken their toll. Now I'm working out at home and have been most days for the last 3 weeks, some HIIT, full body intervals, core, stretching. I don't feel like I'm getting any fitter even though I've sweated my tits off, mostly I just feel a bit achy and tired! When, if ever, does this start feeling good?!

Disclaimer - lighthearted! Also the exercise has helped me not go insane at home so I'll carry on.

For me, never. But my stress levels are waaay lower in general when I exercise.

How often are you exercising? I find it really hard to enjoy when I do it every day. Sometimes I need a good 2-3 days rest if I’ve been working hard.

What are you hoping to gain from exercising so much? Personally I find focusing on how the exercise is making me feel works better than the physical/vanity side of it.

Just reviving this two months down the line - I can now burpee and squat like a mo fo, and I am actively enjoying working out Shock I've also started calorie counting so that I can lose weight to perform better rather than being motivated by shame, it's amazing. I've never worked out hard(ish) on a regular basis for a sustained period of time like this and I'm loving it.
