Has anyone actually been able to access dental treatment during lockdown?

I am consumed with anxiety about the dental closures, having a sore tooth, and worrying that it is going to become awful during lockdown.

I understand the current situation with dentists (general closures, setting up of urgent dental care hubs), but am also aware that some posters seem to have been able to access treatment over the course of the last couple of weeks. I am guessing this is because a small number of dental practices have been able to source appropriate PPE (but stand to be corrected).

I am aware that the urgent care hubs are getting going in various parts of the country, but from what I've read, they are very much for the most extreme and urgent cases, rather than run of the mill pain/abscesses etc.

I just wondered if anyone could tell me how/ where they have accessed emergency treatment if needed? This is more for peace of mind than anything else!

P.s I started another thread on this, but put a typo in the title, and can't cope with it! 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm in the same boat. Lost a filling and cracked the tooth. Not in agony so not classed as urgent enough for the dental practice I'm with but worrying me about what will happen.

I'm sorry to hear that Positivelife, you have my sympathy. I am aware that the urgent care hubs are being established now, so it's good to know that if things got desperate, there will hopefully be some options available

I did. Right at the beginning though. A tooth broke and I phoned my dentist who wasn't strictly speaking open, but said he happened to have gone in to the surgery, so would see me. He concluded it was an emergency, so filled it.

Thank you witchend, I'm glad that you got the help you needed!!
