Sensory help

Looking for some advice if anyone can help.
My ds has a constant need to touch your skin-hands or lower arms nothing inapproprate. He can't just sit beside you, he HAS to touch you. I can say stop it. And within 20 seconds he is back.
It doesn't seem intentional, it seems like he genuinely can't stop himself.
I have a newborn who is attached to me 24/7 and all the touching from both of them is flaring my anxiety. He is 4 years and starting school in August. I am worried he will be constantly getting into trouble for annoying others by touching their hands when he does go to school.
Has anyone had this issue?
Does anyone know of any sensory toys to help this?

Squishies maybe? Squishkins brand is sold by sensory websites eg here

They also have a “tactile kit” which might be worth a try. Or try squares of material eg satin, velvet? Many fabric companies will post a few samples for free.

Great ideas minipie thank you. I will have a look. I'm happy to try anything.

I would also say, maybe start introducing the idea of personal space (like “everyone has a bubble, some people don’t like you going inside their bubble, so you should ask”) I think there are probably videos online that would explain it for kids?

My DD is also a toucher, in fact she tends to grab people and try to hug them. I was worried about it but it doesn’t seem to have caused too many issues with other children at school.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING from cheapdisabilityaids.co.uk as linked above..

Check out previous threads and trustpilot reviews. They have a history of taking money and not fulfilling orders. I'm still out of pocket because of them.

Have a look at a website called Sensory spectacle, this month there is a feel online course running which explains our senses in serris of short videos. I've found it really useful with ds. There are also lots of idea to make, your own sensory tools with every day household objects.

Sorry didn’t know about that site being dodgy! The same item is available on lots of other sites.
