There is nothing in law about the age of who can go out for exercise.

Your friend is an unreliable source of information.

Of course there's no age limit. God, people are making up weirder and weirder things.

Get your information on what's allowed and advised directly from a reputable news site, the NHS or the government; social media and the public are awash with fantasy and insanity at the moment.

Of course there is no age limit

Daily exercise is good. You don't have to go out to do it if you don't want to. Lots of sources and support online

wowfudge · 08/04/2020 12:49

One thing to bear in mind, is your 14 year old going to use this as an excuse to meet up with friends? I went for a walk yesterday evening and saw a group of four teenagers who were together, not practising social distancing and I would extremely surprised if they were from the same household. Other than that, fresh air and exercise is beneficial and to be encouraged.

ErrolTheDragon · 08/04/2020 12:50

Ask this idiot friend to link to their source of information on age limits.

Jg848 · 08/04/2020 16:22

Wowfudge Yeah il have to check with him to make sure he’s not using this as an excuse to see friends if he wants to see friends he can use the bloody PlayStation to talk to them

just look on gov. uk for the rules. no where else.

and if your kid is out socialising with his mates - lock him down for being a selfish and dangerous little shit.

BogRollBOGOF · 08/04/2020 18:41

Nothing wrong with a 14 year old exercising on their own.

It shouldn't be an excuse to socialise, but 14 is plenty old enough to manage a bit of personal space in public and not need supervision.

Jg848 · 08/04/2020 19:22

Mencken il make sure and I will “lock the selfish and dangerous shit down” if he fesses up to going to socialise little arsehole
