No. But you and your child could walk on it.

Ladyglitterfairydust · 04/04/2020 15:39

I don’t see why not so long as you’re not near anyone else or disturbing others. A few days ago a dad was having a kick about with his son at the far end of a field near my house. No one was near them and no others joining in. I thought it was fine.

TitianaTitsling · 04/04/2020 15:40

I don't see why not either!

somewheresorted · 04/04/2020 15:42

I think the point is that if it’s ok for you what’s to stop everybody else having the same idea?

Basilandparsleyandmint · 04/04/2020 15:49

I get the need for social distancing and am very mindful of that when I do have to venture out. This is a common area that we do walk on and again are mindful of others . It really was maybe taking a frisbee or football for a bit of a play during our daily walks just for a bit of variety. I don’t want to do the wrong thing but our home has close neighbours and equally do not want to annoy them with balls etc going over which will happen.
It’s so difficult and am not trying to bend the rules either but just make a bit of Fun I suppose during this difficult time.

Of course you can if there’s nobody else nearby. Kids need to burn off their energy.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 04/04/2020 16:11

Of course you can, it’s part of your daily exercise, as long as you are not mixing with people outside your household and keeping a distance from anyone around

Basilandparsleyandmint · 04/04/2020 16:40

Thank you, I just feel so conscious of movement outside the house, round by us people take photos and put things on local social media of people not abiding by rules - I would be mortified if that was me 🙈

Of course it's ok. No idea why people are objecting. As long as you are 2m from others, you are permitted one form of outdoor exercise per day. Naturally, that can include all kinds of things which are not walking Hmm

PotteringAlong · 04/04/2020 16:51

Yes, it’s fine

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 04/04/2020 16:55

I took my girls to a v local green (literally a minutes walk from my house) for a run around. Did them good to build up speed and burn off energy. Our garden isn't really big enough for real running around. We saw dog walkers coming after 5 mins so we headed back home.

Once we've done our 14 days isolation (I'm showing symptoms) I will do it again as they were in much better moods from the change - they've been in since schools closed :)

sleepyhead · 04/04/2020 17:40

Of course you can, and if there are too many people about or everyo e else gets the same idea and it gets too busy, you go home.

SomethingNastyInTheBallPool · 04/04/2020 17:48

Of course it’s fine!
