Should you snitch (coronavirus)

A local councillor who has been told second hand (hearsay) that a local pub is having lock ins, is agonising over whether to report to authorities on FB today.

It is difficult is someone being malicious, on the other hand if the police have a look in and see nothing amiss is that a waste of their time?

friend of a 'friend' eh?
seems like you really want some 3rd hand drama in you life.

A pub was closed down the other day in Nottingham (if memory recalls) for having a lock in. The police have thrown the book at them, the premises was emptied and the landlord was doing the lock-in without the consent of the brewery.

So yes, get it reported. Why should the pub and customers go against the social gathering rules while the rest of us suspend our daily lives to try and help the country deal with the pandemic.

Report on Facebook?

Page3 · 03/04/2020 14:27

I'd make sure it was true first

willowpatterns · 03/04/2020 14:29

Well obviously put it all over FB. Not. Hmm

If anyone is genuinely sure this is happening, then they should phone the police.

AmelieTaylor · 03/04/2020 14:31

Definitely needs reporting. IF it’s actually happening.

The word snitch doesn't help. This isn't net twitching and reporting your poor old neighbour for venturing out three times in one day.

If this is true, then it absolutely needs reporting.
