Are GPs still offering F2F appointments?

Can't get through to mine at the moment to ask but is it worth me setting alarm for 8am to try to get an appointment (one of the things I need to discuss is insomnia, hence sleeping from about 6am in the morning, so will be an effort to wake up at that time to ring for an appointment).
I've had a few frustrating phonecalls today already, so don't want to stress myself out even more if it's a national thing that they're closed in general?

Yes but I think some practices might be doing phone triage first - I know two people who have been seen by different GPs in the last couple of weeks, one this week.

Our surgery is only doing telephone appointments. I think it's the same for most tbh. Could you phone later on and the reception staff could advise you?

In our area it’s all telephone triage. They’re only seeing people if absolutely necessary.

Our local surgery is. Most appointments are done over the phone. However, the dr will see you in person if they feel it’s necessary.

I rang 4 consecutive days last week requesting a GP call back and never received one. I'm at the point of tears at this stage I'm so frustrated with everything. At this stage I have 7 issues to discuss lol.
They ask what you need to discuss, so I said blood tests. Didn't receive a phone call, so called back next day and receptionist said 'oh he has ordered blood tests for you', so I asked what was on the request form - he had ordered standard blood tests, not the one I need. So I specified that I needed a call back to discuss with GP. Didn't receive a call back.

Rang the following day and specified what I needed on the blood tests and that there was a referral letter from another consultancy, specifying what I needed tested. Again didn't receive a phone call. They swore that they had the letter in front of them (hadn't been read), and that they would get the GP to phone back.

Rang the following day again and still haven't received a phone call.
I've given up at this stage - I now have 7 things that I need to discuss. It's just a shambles.

Seriously considering transferring surgeries but now is probably not the time no more than anything else and it might be out of the frying pan into the fire.

Oh ye, on the 4th attempt to get a call back, I asked to speak to the practice manager and was told that I couldn't. I had to write.
