DD is 2 and I need a pushchair for her.
If everything was normal I would have just got a second hand one to last a year off Facebook or something. As that's now not an option where can I get a cheap stroller which isn't really rubbish.

I had the Mickey version of this one from online4baby. Used for over a year and only changed because I needed a tandem for ds(2) and baby dd. Passed it on to a friend who is happy with it too

The joie one is alright for using every so often but I wouldn’t like to use it all the time. It’s quite heavy to push and not good on uneven surfaces.

I have the Joie stroller and use it (well used to!) for nursery runs and had had absolutely no issues with it. Although LO is only one so I don’t have huge amounts of experience. For the price I think it’s great

We had a silver cross zest (or pop) - whichever holds up to 25kg. Due to a 30 min walk to nursery with a 4 year old (summer born). Was good buggy. Might be able to get online from John Lewis? Or amazon or ebay possibly.

Topbird29 · 30/03/2020 11:38

Was about £125 though, so may be more than you want to spend x

There are chico echo on amazon for £65 - we had a chico London which was quite good. We changed when needed to support a heavier child!

Selfsettling3 · 30/03/2020 11:43

At 2 I can’t imagine she will be in much longer. How big is she? Silver cross have a weight limit of 25kg but many other brands have a much lower weight limit.

Ghoulasha · 30/03/2020 12:15

Hi. Thanks. I didn't really want to spend that much which is why I would have bought a second hand one but looks like I'll have to spend a bit more than intended.

Ice found the silver cross zest for 95. The Joie is 60. So is the silver cross worth it for the extra £35?!

We have the Zest and like it. Folds easily and is light weight. Not much room underneath, but enough for a couple of bits (like baby’s nursery bag). The only slight niggle I have with it is the 5 point harness as it’s a bit fiddly, but you get used to it. Not used the Joie, so can’t help there (although we love their 360 car seat). I think I paid £105 for it, so £95 sounds good.

lboogy · 30/03/2020 20:57

I hated the zest. It was so stiff when pushing

Ghoulasha · 31/03/2020 06:51

Oh no. I don't know what to get now!

I have the Joie one, bought it to take on holiday, now used for occasional trips with my tall 2.5 ye ar old who still fits in it. It's fairly basic but we've had no issues so I think it's great for the price!

voxnihili · 31/03/2020 07:38

I have the zest. It feels sturdy and reasonable to push. I like that it lays completely flat so perfect for naps.

Roundtoedshoes · 31/03/2020 08:40

How far does the canopy come down on the Joie? It comes right over on the Zest which is one of the reasons we liked it (in fact had a summer holiday in the sun in mind when looking) - that could be a factor if DD still naps in the buggy? I can also add that we have no issues pushing the Zest. It’s like a dream after the much heavier travel system!

BogRollBOGOF · 31/03/2020 09:02

I bought a Zest when DS1 was an older baby, then had DS2, and both were able to use it until 4 (5 if they were poorly!)

starsinyourpies · 31/03/2020 09:51

I have this, it's seen through two children from about age 1 and is so light and folds up really easily.
