Need serious help - bobbling sheets!

I'm like the princess and the pea and can't sleep comfortably because my bedsheets are bobbled. I have fibromyalgia so I'm really sensitive to pain and discomfort. I need some non bobbling sheets. I've only ever bought sheets on the basis of how cheap they are before, but I'm going to have to get new ones. But how do I make sure the new ones won't bobble? Is there a type that doesn't? Any advice appreciated, thank you.

TK Maxx is a good place for high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets

However, it is extremely rare to find any flat ones, they are all fitted.

My last ones were from Debenhams (own label) and cotton. Good quality but not as pricey as John Lewis.

I do have some cotton ones that have bobbled but they were from somewhere cheap, I use them to keep the sun off my clothes rail and storage boxes (in the absence of curtains at the moment).

OP non bobbly sheet heaven right here...

www.justlinen.co.uk/justlinen/m/sheridan-silver-500-t-count-sateen-bedlinen.asp

I have bought loads of bed linen from this store over the years & I have had 2 sets of the ones from the link posted & they are still going strong ( non bobbly ) & I've had them for 6 years, they've been washed over & over.

In fact I've just purchased another 2 sets today as I've upgraded to a super king bed, I've no doubt that these sheets will last a lifetime, so smooth & heavy weight good quality cotton & not a bobble in sight!

Beware of cheap imitations, you get what you pay for.

I'm a bedding queen & I hate cheap scratchy sheets, well worth a buy 👍🏻

Any of the 300/500 tc sheets on this site won't bobble BUT checking they are 100% cotton is essential as it's polyester that tends to bobble in my opinion.

Yes they are a bit pricey.... but you will come back to thank me should you purchase them SmileThanksCake

And P.S they are currently running promotion of 20% off .... the code is on the header of the website x

IncognitoIsMyFavouriteWord · 30/03/2020 13:22

Yep, 100% cotton only.

Wilkos, Amazon even supermarkets sell them.

@lottieloop I almost couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a sheet, but I did and it's the best thing ever! Omg I cannot tell you how amazing it feels. It's like I've been sleeping on sandpaper my whole life and now I'm sleeping on a polished cloud! Thank you! Thank you all!

The other thing that may cause bobbling is washing and drying them with towels...I always wash and dry towels separately

FlaskMaster · 07/04/2020 00:43

That's a great tip, thank you.

@FlaskMaster oh I'm so pleased you bought them & you are happy Smile

Enjoy many many years of luxury as these sheets will not let you down! I find ironing them makes them mega smooth ( although they are & will continue to be smooth even without the ironing ) but hey ho if you ever need to pass an hour or two ironing them it will take it up to the next level of sheet heaven! They can be tumble dried. I use a fitted sheet & flat sheet so I'm sandwiched inbetween these sheets & it's bliss!

Bravo for purchasing & taking my word for it, I'm made up that you love them : )

They will last forever & you get what you pay for with bedding I've found Thanks

'Polished cloud' :) Brilliant description. As I said upthread expensive sheets really do work out much cheaper in the long run. The expensive sheets I bought from John Lewis in 1998 are still going strong and still polished cloud-like. I can't imagine how many cheaper sheets I would have got through in that time.
