In these times of lockdown?! Personally, it's my horse. Caring for him and being out in the fresh air is definitely saving my MH.

What's your lifeline?

Reading - escapism!

Frouby · 28/03/2020 20:41

Wine. Gin. Beer.

Knittingnanny · 28/03/2020 20:50

•Knitting
•Waving to 2 of my grandchild (. next street) as we go out for our once a day walk or bike ride
•doing one job a day in the house or garden that I would normally ignore.
•having the company of my lovely husband and realising how difficult it would have been being in lockdown with my former husband
• facetime storytime with my other little grandchildren

Not much at the moment I must say. Day 5 (6?) of being stuck in the house with dh and 3dc.
All okay, dh has some symptoms and decided we needed to stay home for the benefit of the everyone else and he’s recovered now. It was most likely just a bug but we weren’t prepared to risk it.
But man alive we are all quite keen on going for a walk somewhere! On our own Grin
Okay, well if I had to choose something, I’d say long baths where I can lock a door and guarantee myself some peace is keeping me semi sane at the minute.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 28/03/2020 20:52

Keeping a routine for the DC. We're still up at the same time, eating at the same meal times, and going to bed as normal. Just managing two small-ish children keeps time passing quite well. Also I'm phoning a lot of people for chats and working out.

Oops!

Steered clear from alcohol so far, I meant to say. I think it might be a slippery slope for me!

puds11 · 28/03/2020 21:19

Husband if I’m honest Grin

Kintsugi16 · 28/03/2020 21:19

I’m loving it me

Sabz89 · 28/03/2020 21:20

End of week 1 with 3 under 5. I literally don't have a minute to myself (DH is a key worker). By the time they've gone to bed, I'm exhausted too!

Thelnebriati · 28/03/2020 21:21

I'm trying a knitting pattern for a tea cosy thats shaped like a budgie. It wont look anything like the picture.

What's keeping you sane?!
Frownette · 28/03/2020 21:22

Err...not much?! Cups of tea, friends, watching programs.

Jellykat · 28/03/2020 21:24

Washing.. my machine broke last week, and i've no income atm, but have found handwashing mine and DSs clothes rather therapeutic.. sad i know!

blue25 · 28/03/2020 21:28

Garden. Reading. Wine.

thistimelastweek · 28/03/2020 21:29

Resource management and meal planning. It's taking over my life but it's a complete distraction.
That and daily contact with my loved ones.

Frownette · 28/03/2020 21:30

No that's quite sweet @Jellykat, I suppose it's a gentle repetitive action which is soothing

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 28/03/2020 21:34

Figuring out what I'm going to have for lunch and dinner from ingredients I have in the cupboards/ruff in the fridge that needs using up! And what cakes I can bake from what I already have... Made a lime drizzle cake this week as had no lemons - not going back to lemon drizzle cake now!

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 28/03/2020 21:36

spotify, wine, hots baths, my eternally grounded husband. And the cats.

GulliBelle · 28/03/2020 21:37

The three Cs.

Coffee, cat, and chocolate.

Brookeinabook · 28/03/2020 21:38

Interesting you should say that thistimelastweek I'm also finding this very time consuming. Makes me realise that back in say my granny's era working out what to feed the family and how to make money and resources stretch would've been quite time consuming by necessity.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 28/03/2020 21:38

Wine and gallons of tea.

For now.

Yesterdayforgotten · 28/03/2020 21:42

Cooking and baking and playing with my toddler, cuddles with my 4 month old baby and appreciating his big smiles, going for walks and playing in backgarden with toddler, chocolate, watching movies and Netflix series and reading when spare moment of an evening, laughing and joking with dh as we have done tonight which was nice, nice long hot bubble bathes and getting myself and dc dressed every day to keep some normality and structure to our days.
