Toys for 3 year old girl

My daughter is turning three and won't be having her planned party. So to try and make it as special as possible under these circumstances, I'm looking for inspiration on what toys to get her. I've noticed her toys aside from books, her kitchen and baby dolls, don't entertain her for more than a few mins and to be honest they seem a little young for her all of a sudden. She is usually in daycare full time, and we go out a lot at weekends to do activities and classes together; so she doesn't usually play with her toys all that much! But now we are home all the time, without a garden, I feel like we really need to get her a few things. Please can you let me know what toys your three year olds love? Thanks!

At this age my dd loved peppa pig and Ben and Holly toys. She’s 4 and half now and they still get played with loads.

Haba Kullerbu is a hut here, as is oue wooden train set. yesbebe.co.uk/haba/13646-haba-kullerbu-ball-track-sim-sala-kling/?search_query=Kullerbu&results=30

We also have a wooden letterbox from Jojo maman bebe, various playmobil 123, and a wooden castle that all get played with. Holztiger animals are beautiful too and get used a lot here.

My 3.5 yo DD loves Sylvanian families. She’s always been quite enamoured with tiny things (thankfully was never one for eating them/trying them on for size up her nose etc) and gets loads of entertainment from setting them out for a picnic etc, acting out simple fairy stories with them (and me!). They’re expensive but we got a load of hand-me-downs from her older cousin- might be worth a look on eBay or similar.

Also loves building so she still gets great use out of our big boxes of duplo and wooden blocks and has now started moving on to Lego.

Play dough is still very popular.

And finally her scooter which she really does spend ages on- mainly doing loops of the island unit in our kitchen!

Does she like Frozen? If so she might like the Frozen Duplo set.

Do you have any outside space at all, anywhere to put a water tray?

What about playdoh? DD really likes the Playdoh pizza oven set.

My daughter was never really into toys either, at that age she enjoyed hands on and active toys.

Any sort of water based toys, Lacing beads, aquadraw mat, kiddizoom camera, mega sketcher, ball pool (small paddling pool), toy laptop and walkie talkies were used lots here - maybe some dressing up things too and doll accessories.

Lots of imaginary play stuff.

My 3 yo loves her play kitchen, Sylvanian House, brio train track, a playmobil horse stable thing, anything to do with planting and growing seeds or baking. She likes playing doctors/vets with her older cousins.

Obsessed with playdough and that creeps into the play kitchen play etc.

Glitter, paints, anything messy.

Her most favourite thing at the moment is her bike though.

My daughter was 3 in February and she has a set of little Toy Story and Frozen figures from the Disney Store which she loves.

I teach 3-4s and find that the more open ended toys are the ones that keep children's attention as they can be played with again and again in different ways. Our lot love the Grimms rainbow which becomes a stacking or balancing game, pens and cages for animals, seesaws for dolls, slides, etc etc. A set of wooden blocks has infinite possibilities and gets played with multiple times a day. A decent set of realistic animals is a great choice and if your DD loves dolls and role play then she might like a dolls house. Another activity that seems to keep even the most flighty little ones engaged is threading so maybe perhaps beads and laces. Do you have any communication from your daughter's daycare to see what she enjoys playing with there?

Thanks everyone.

She isn't a huge fan of building bricks... although will occasionally watch us build a tower!

Also we would usually have a garden, but are temporarily unable to access it as we are building an extension and so it will be a while before we can us it.

Role play games, especially with babies and doctors, is her favourite. She also enjoys messy play with paints and sticking etc.

Puzzles seem to have a very short shelf life for her attention span.

We have the usual scooter/ balance bike which again she uses all the time when we go to parks.

Just trying to think what I'm missing! Thanks again for the recommendations so far.
