3 and 4 yr old. They like the usual gruffalo and all the others like that. Frozen, jungle book, lion king, ice age. I tried Cars, but it didn't catch their interest at all. We have been having movie nights, but I'm getting a bit fed up of the usual stuff. And so are they tbh. Tried peter rabbit, big no.

I have Netflix and a free trial of Amazon. And usual freeview.

Can anyone suggest anything? I am not a disney/animated fan myself so no real idea.

Shark tales might be good. Havent seen it lol but my twin niece and nephew were really into it. Theyre 4

They are doing a week's free trial on Disney life After that it's 5.99 per month but you can cancel anytime.

Thank, I'm a bit loathe to do the Disney trial as I wouldn't keep it on, they were upset enough when snail and the whale disappeared from IPlayer!

Snail and the whale is still on iplayer! It says it will be on there for over a year...

Does it have to be a film? Tumble leaf is good on Prime. Paddington and Paddington 2 are great :)

Sparrowlegs248 · 28/03/2020 10:07

It wasnt when we last looked, but thanks, I'll look again! Well it wa there, but not available.

Paddington was enjoyed by my two when little. Just keep trying Disney ones and ones you like too- Little Mermaid, Mulan, a little known one called “Help me I’m a fish” and Toy Story were all enjoyed by my kids when young.

Would they like old fashioned musicals? My dds (and me for that matter) have always loved stuff like singin in the rain and Mary poppins and the sound of music.

They wouldn't sit still and watch but they'd play on the floor with bits, get distracted by the songs, maybe do a little dance etc.

Studio Ghibli.

Put Totoro on for them. It's on Netflix.

UnalliterativeGeorge · 28/03/2020 10:14

Wallace and gromit go down well here - all on Netflix last time I looked

Rainb0wDrops · 28/03/2020 10:16

Moana and secret life of pets both really popular here

eandz13 · 28/03/2020 10:24

I have a 3 and 4 year old too and my list of winners (that I can actually sit and watch too) are all the Shreks, Neverending Story, Labyrinth, all Toy Storys, Inside Out, The Goonies, Matilda. All Netflix/prime/Disney+ (which I'd definitely recommend to get through the lock down with kids, it's been really useful)

stressbucket1 · 28/03/2020 10:30

Trolls or despicable me

sorryiasked · 28/03/2020 10:33

Not film, but a series:
Creature comforts - available on YouTube

Tractor Ted - also on YouTube

HPandTheNeverEndingBedtime · 28/03/2020 10:36

The tinker bell films were DDs favourites, Great for young children as there aren't any moments of peril like other Disney films.

WTFdidwedo · 28/03/2020 10:39

Mine are 2 and 3 and like Moana and Toy Story 4. We have an annual subscription to Disney+ and it's got so much on there. It's got a a through the decades bit where you choose older stuff as well. I definitely think the £6 for the lockdown would be worth it even if you don't carry on after!

eddiemairswife · 28/03/2020 10:44

Bambi.

shirleyschmidt · 28/03/2020 10:51

Jumanji (the original!) is on Prime and Netflix, kids are pre school age and we all enjoy it.
