What are you most looking forward to doing after all of this is over?

I'm determined to keep positive and keep facing the future. I can't wait to go food shopping without being paranoid of being accused of panic buying. I can't wait to go out and meet up with all the people to whom I keep saying "we need to meet up some time!" I can't wait to return to normal.

Anyone else clinging on to hopes for the future?

Getting back to my riding lessons. I am missing being up the stables.

Not having to hide all the threads about it that people can't be arsed to put in the right topic 😂

Seeing my parents properly instead of through the window 😥

Sex, the gym and general loitering in public spaces

Breakfast at my favourite cafe.
It’s a really lovely place right on the river. The food is amazing (the chef has won national awards). We have been going there for years and the owners are like family.

Seeing my friends.

Hugging my mom.

Popping out for a coffee.
Going swimming.

Getting back to my sport.
Giving my friends a hug
Going out for a meal
Going for a drink

Seeing dds and little Gdcs..

Seeing my dad again and hoping he remembers me (dementia).
Hugging mum.
Getting my hair dyed.
Going into into the office for the first time. I don’t particularly love my job, but I’m the oldest and unfittest there (they are all a lot younger and are gym goers), my last thought as I walked out for the last time before wfh was ‘I hope I get to see you again’.

Seeing my DS playing with his mates again. He’s an only child.

Seeing my family.

Going on holiday.

Not being so fucking anxious!

Oh yes and going back to work. I work in the NHS, I love my job and I hope I’ve got a job to go back to after this.

Sending DD to nursery.

She's two, we're both working from home and I'm pregnant (and huge and sore). Looking after her is so much more physical than going to work, I'm exhausted.

Getting my job back so I can afford to do the following:
Going to a pub quiz with actual people sat about
Hugging a friend
Getting a haircut

Getting a massage

Seeing and hugging my mum and dad.

The pub! 😁 Going out for dinner, all of us together.

Oh and hopefully finally moving house!

Thought of another one - going out for a walk with my neighbour. We've done it for years and spending summer evenings exploring the area in which we live is one of my favourite things to do.

Also - baking. I'm restricting the amount of baking I do (although I currently have scones in the oven...) because I'm almost out of flour, and it's driving me crazy!

Seeing a post on any subject started without the next 6 posters hectoring about whether the action in the question is essential.

Meeting up with family for a meal and drinks for my mum's 70th which we've had to postpone.

I just need a hug and a kiss from anyone as I live alone and I am a naturally touchy feely person and I believe it's not good to have no physical contact.

Seeing my son go to college. I just hope they can happen in September. He has been so looking forward to going. I am desperately holding onto that in my mind.
I want to go to the shops. Buy him a new laptop. Buy him the clothes that he wants to wear and send him off on his new adventure. He hated school so much and he was so looking forward to his course.

Getting together with family. It's my DD's birthday today and my DS's in a few weeks. In my family we do something for everyone's birthday (young or old, I know adult birthdays are grown upon on MN) so it's hard not doing anything in person.

Going to work. I'm furloughed, it's boring now.
Skating, am missing it so much. Shuddered at Madrid using an ice rink as a mortuary.
Having the house to myself.

Going to see my mum. She lives 300 miles away, but saw her at half term about a month ago. She’s a 12 week isolation person though.

John Lewis stores reopening.

Snogging the face off my BF.

Sitting in a beer garden with a chilled pint of cider and my friends around me.
