Kitchen utensils

Hello everyone - Im moving house and very excited and am looking to buy a set of new kitchen utensils.

Im thinking of going for copper pans - are there any reasons why I shouldn’t? I’ll admit I’m doing it mainly for aesthetic reasons.

Also I’ve just seen a lovely set of stainless steel ladles and slotted spoons and was wondering whether they will get very hot to use?

Apologies it’s all very boring.

Can't help with the copper pans dilemma, but we have all-stainless steel utensils and the handles don't get particularly hot.

I like the look of copper pans but have never used them. I have stainless steel ladles etc and love them

My only thought is - if copper pans then why not copper ladles etc. I think copper pans as SS utensils won't have the aesthetic effect that you are looking for.

If the the SS will always be stored in drawers I don't suppose it matters too much though. My SS utensils are on a rack.

Copper pans don't work on induction hobs. And induction hobs are the best.

Agree with @khione re aesthetics

Love our copper pans (falke) but depends entirely on your hob - love my range you can’t use them with an induction hob.

Proper copper pans need cleaning with lemon juice and salt to keep them shiny. If they're just copper coloured that's different.
