Ok, my husband is self employed, not working or earning. We claim tax credits as a family. I am PAYE due to be furloughed. I was hoping husband could claim ssp through UC until SE 80% help is available in June.

When I looked online at applying it is asking to make a joint claim, I'd rather not, I want to stay on tax credits as long as possible.
Does anyone know if it is possible for husband to claim just the ssp on UC and leave the tax credits as they are?

Thanks

Assuming you live together, you'll have to apply as a couple. It will move you from tax credits to universal credits

Thanks @FATEdestiny that's what I thought Angry never mind, we'll scrape by without it.
