Got an email from Tesco with updates on their progress and handling of the situation. In it they say they will “take learnings”.

Is that some sort of business speak that has passed me by?

Yes I've had upmost too. I can forgive them at the moment.

They need to “take learnings” about how to use the English language...

That's not 'corporate speak', it's 'illiterate speak'.

I am leaning in to the new learnings. 😀

Ooh! Maybe they meant they were going to take earnings! And an extra “L” got in there somehow.

That must be it. It’s a mistake, it should have read “rake earnings”.
