Thermometer help

NauseousNancy · 21/03/2020 11:48

I have a thermometer - a standard one for under your tongue. Been going by readings on that for a good while now.

How accurate are they? Been reading they give a lower reading and should add something on?

Anyone with any expert advice on this?

Thank you!

if you have been using it for a while now then you should have a clear idea of how it reads your "normal" temperature. Therefore you can use this to gauge if your temperature is elevated or not.

That makes sense, thank you! We are all well, just trying to make sure we are sensible when kids going to grandparents (under 70) for childcare.

It’ll be fine. If you measure temperature in your armpit that’s often a bit lower.

If they feel hot or feverish - err on the side of caution.
