His music speaks for itself.

He always seemed such a nice man in interviews.

I think he'd probably have smiled at this.

I think we all need anything right now which makes us smile.

Thank you for posting this. One of my favourite songs.

Love it! Never seen that before.

Poor Kenny...he knew went to hold’em and now has finally decided to fold ‘em.

I immediately thought of Nessa and Bryn when I heard the news. RIP Kenny.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/03/2020 15:41

Love that song. Not many of the great country singers left now. RIP Kenny

EachandEveryone · 21/03/2020 15:44

Aw he was featured in so many of our childhoods wasnt he? My fathers favourite. I didnt realise his boys are only 14😟

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/03/2020 15:50

I grew up listening to country music. My Dad always used to listen to country music on a Sunday night and apparently he used to have me with him when I was a baby.

The first music I heard was probably Kenny, Waylon Jennings or Johnny Cash.

Now if Willie Nelson could stay with us a bit longer that would be great!

MrsGrindah · 21/03/2020 15:56

My dad absolutely loved Johnny Cash and Kenny Rogers. I love the lyrics to The Coward of The County

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/03/2020 16:02

So do I. I've always thought Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town is really sad.

I remember listening to A Boy Named Sue when I was a kid and thinking how odd it was!

MrsGrindah · 21/03/2020 16:41

And don’t forget “ Lucille” .I thought it was 400 children not “four hungry children” for years

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 21/03/2020 17:22

I think Lucille was probably one of the first country songs I knew all the words to. I'll always hear '400 children' now!
