You're allowed one "treat" food. What do you choose?

For a bit of light relief.

You're only allowed to choose 1 'treat' food. What do you go for?

Mine is, and always will be, dairy milk (unless they change the recipe any more!)

Walkers salt and vinegar crisps or Squares. Saltier the better.

Vegan applewood cheese, buttered ritz crackers and cold fat green grapes

Mascarpone, whipped double cream mixed with icing sugar and proper vanilla essence, crushed up double chocolate digestives that have been mixed with melted butter and dark chocolate. Thick salted caramel sauce. Topped with melted dark chocolate sprinkled with maldon sea salt.

Semi frozen. I made this as a sort of cheesecake for a friend recently.

We had a portion each. The other 6 portions I ate the next day on my own watching sex education on Netflix. It's all I ate all day.

That was a good day.

ZigZaggyZoo · 19/03/2020 20:29

I think it's quite mean that the hypothetical doesn't allow for one salty and one sweet snack

You are quite right! One savoury and one sweet is true order.

Mine's now dairy milk and crisps that aren't too greasy (not fussed about the flavour)

@ArtisanPopcorn PIZZA with MANGO on it??? Oh how I wish we had Aldi here so I could try it!!

DixieFlatline · 20/03/2020 04:27

Chip shop chips with lots of salt and vinegar and decent chip shop gravy.

ArtisanPopcorn · 20/03/2020 06:46

@HeartsTrumpDiamonds it's so good! Their sweet chilli chicken one is good too, a perfect, biscuit-like, base. Mmmmm

A little bit of red beef, raw or cooked - I blame the iron deficiency.

Not raw in current circumstances, obvs. I get pica really badly so I've been known to eat worse.

KatherineJaneway · 20/03/2020 06:51

Crisps

Wanky artisanal scotch egg.

I worked in Romania twenty-odd years ago when the plight of the orphanages had been uncovered. We each had to take a 'treat' with us and I took Galaxy bars (I rationed myself to two or three chunks a day). Crikey, it was SUCH an important part of the day! I hadn't expected it to have such a powerful impact.

Hushabyelullaby · 20/03/2020 17:52

If we can have one savoury and one sweet then I'd choose
Plain Chocolate
Co-op Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar crisps

Onemorefuck · 23/03/2020 14:03

Oh yy to the sea salt and Chardonnay wine crisps!

JaneEyre7 · 23/03/2020 14:13

A fat wedge of ripe brie with some ripe plums.

Heaven on a plate.

Imstillskanking · 24/03/2020 09:02

Co-op Sea Salt & Chardonnay Wine Vinegar crisps

I keep telling myself that I'm glad I left the UK, and then you go and say something like this. Sounds like the food of the gods

Deathraystare · 24/03/2020 19:49

@DrSheldonCooperPHD, have you had the lemon meringue pie from M&S?

My mum made the best one ever, ever, ever. Sadly she is dead and the recipe has gone with her! It was tarter than shop bought - not like the sickly sweet Sarah Lee rubbish!
