Has anyone been to the BBC Good Food Show before?

Obviously this is all dependent on health guidelines at the time etc...

Has anyone been before and would you recommend for kids? My middle DC (who will be just turned 3) is hugely into food and cooking and has been for a very long time. Her preferred TV is cooking shows and she makes dinner with me every night without fail. She absolutely loves it.

I'm considering taking her as a special day out just for us two. Is this insane? I know it allows children but there's a difference between children being permitted and the environment being suitable (obviously, I'm not expecting it to be geared towards children specifically, but given her interests, I think she may get a lot from it)

it is a good day but it gets very busy. I think it maybe a bit much for a young child. You will find yourself carrying her a lot. Have you thought about finding a local food Fayre close to you where there would be more room.

That was my main concern really. We did Countryfile live last summer and she loved to food tent. It was busy, but not nearly as busy as the NEC will be, I imagine. She's very good but I would hate for her to get overwhelmed. Not to worried about carrying her, though as she's a diddy little thing.

There aren't food festival type things near us often. There was one last year but they had a live band at excruciating volume, so we left within an hour because it was too much for the kids (and us)

I've been a couple of times, its fun for adults, but an exhausting day. I think it would be hard work both for a child and their parent. If you were thinking about the NEC, which side of birmingham are you? On theshropshire side there are food festivals in Cosford and Shrewsbury which are smaller and very nice.

We're nowhere near, but the in-laws live in Sutton Coldfield, so that's where we'd be travelling from. My parents are about an hour from the Cotswolds so may have to keep an eye out for around there as I'm sure there must be at least a few

I went a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but it was very busy and crowded. I don't think a small one would like it. Maybe an open air food fair would be better.

Very busy, too much for a 3 year-old, I think she'd feel overwhelmed.
