Need a non greasy hand cream

All the handwashing has taken its toll on all the family's hands, which are cracked and bleeding in some cases :( What are good non greasy hand creams, ideally in a pump bottle?

Tesco beauty (own brand) conditioning hand and nail cream. In a tube not a pump. £1 when I bought most recent one a couple of weeks ago. It is really v good.

Purpletigers · 16/03/2020 21:16

Neutrogena ?

Mymymycorona · 16/03/2020 21:18

I basically wash my hands for a living. I cannot recommend clarins enough. It is amazing but I imagine it's not financially viable for a whole family even though it lasts ages(I get more tubes of handcream than anything else for Christmas so I don't think I've ever bought one) only needs applied once a day really.
I also love l'occitane cherry or the Santuary one out of Boots. Vaseline do a tube as well that I like. I despise the greasy feeling of hand cream but I rate that lot highly, they feel good and absorb well.

I don't like lush, I was given a tub of some kind of cream you can also use on your hands from there and it was so sticky.

Aesop, pricey but so lovely.

Mymymycorona · 16/03/2020 21:19

But well done on the handwashing and please don't be put off. Get into the swing of using a good handcream at night and your hands will be right as rain soon.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 16/03/2020 21:23

Atrixo. It's bloody brilliant.

SkaLaLand · 16/03/2020 21:26

Pound shop hemp body lotion. Massive tube, really moisturising and completely non greasy.

WellTidy · 16/03/2020 21:28

Any of the Crabtree and Evelyn ones. Tkaxx sells a set of six of the 30ml ones for about £15. The rose water and pomegranate ones are my favourites.

TheGirlWhoLived · 16/03/2020 21:29

The one that’s worked best for dd is the soap and glory hand food one, but I’ve been using l’occitane shea butter original (I think) and that works really well too

TheOrigBrave · 16/03/2020 21:33

Flexitol Hand Balm all the way for me.

OverByYer · 16/03/2020 21:34

L’occitane Verbena. Smells amazing too

inwood · 16/03/2020 21:34

Baseline hand and nails in the pink tube

inwood · 16/03/2020 21:35

Vaseline!

ChibiTotoro · 16/03/2020 21:42

Aveeno! It was on offer in Waitrose at the weekend too.

seeingasyouareclueless · 16/03/2020 22:02

Lacura from Aldi is my favourite. I prefer it to all top brands like Elizabeth Arden, and the mid range like Aveeno. It doesn't leave any residue, sinks in quickly, no lasting fragrance or greasiness. And I use it more regularly as it's so cheap I don't feel the need to be stingy with it.

CornishPorsche · 16/03/2020 22:07

Another vote for Clarins hand cream. It's amazing.

However, in the absence of that which is ££, Cetraben is brilliant and comes in pumps. About £15 a tub but should last for ages and is super effective.

SuckingDieselFella · 16/03/2020 22:09

Occitane. It's expensive but a little goes a long way.

ThatLibraryMiss · 16/03/2020 22:13

Flexitol Hand Balm has the holy trinity (for me) of lanolin, urea and glycerin. It also has a light fragrance - I find a lot are too heavily perfumed. It moisturises well but isn't greasy. You can buy a large tube from eBay for £7.99 or two for £11.99.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost is also good, not greasy at all. It's £11.12 for two tubes from Amazon.

My third choice is the l'Occitane Shea Butter one. It's heavier and more expensive but you only need a little and it works well.

I haven't found any in a pump that work as well as those.

Thelnebriati · 16/03/2020 22:46

Udder cream if you can get it in small quantities. Its also known as bag balm.

sueelleker · 17/03/2020 14:49

I adore Crabtree and Evelyn. I nearly cried when they shut the shops down. I loved the fact that they did so many unusual fragrances-not just your bog-standard rose and lavender. I tried Neutrogena once, and couldn't get rid of it.

BubblesBuddy · 17/03/2020 15:53

Molton Brown. Their hand wash won’t cause skin problems either. Bleeding through washing isn’t normal!

Kitkatkatnap · 17/03/2020 15:56

Neutrogenia Norwegian formula. Sold in Boots. Best hand cream I’ve ever used and I work outdoors in all weathers. Sinks in instantly and no greasiness/residue and leaves my hands baby soft

LadyEloise · 17/03/2020 16:00

I would have thought Neutrogena and Atrico are really greasy. Hmm

ACupOfCoffee · 17/03/2020 16:13

E45
Boots own brand hand & nail cream

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 17/03/2020 19:34

Second Aveeno. Aldi also do an Aveeno copycat which is effective and non-greasy (it's in a tube not dispenser though).
