Trampoline party and alll the Lego.

WellTidy · 11/03/2020 21:36

Trip to the cinema and then to pizza express with a group of friends. DH and I went too as there were girls and boys in the group and we wanted to supervise, especially loo visits.

Presents - hexbugs, football and goal, Lego, art and craft stuff, board/card games (top trumps, link it).

Bowling and Mac's.

Gifts were science experiments book, robot you build and control via Bluetooth, Lego technic Corvette.

Most of the parties here are still go to the park, eat cake, run around with your mates, gift, home. They're great! Alas DS has a winter birthday, so must be indoor.

Mine went to Oxygen jumping with about 10 mates then pizza afterwards. Others I remember were science ones, safari/ animal ones (where the guy comes to your house with an amazing range of animals, lizards, baby crocodiles etc), and a brilliant CSI one where they had to 'solve' a murder case.

Laser tag party.

Presents - football kit, clothes, books, Wild West gun and dress up set.

My ds wanted a weekend away as we offered him that or a party. His birthday is between Xmas and new year so a difficult time. Sounds bad but I'm glad he choose the going away as it's hard organising parties at that time of year!

So we stayed in Edinburgh in between Xmas and new year did the camera obscura and a world buffet where he had pizza and curry on same plate! We had a great time. We also stayed in a hotel which had a pool which was his only criteria.
He got a fish tank from us on the basis he had helped his dad with our other pets for a few months. He got board games, vouchers for the fish tank stuff, couple of switch games, science experiment kit, clothes and books from the relatives and friends.

Ds got an upgrade drum kit for his 8th birthday. He had a few friends over for a takeaway and movie night. He wasn’t into big parties.
Younger ds is 7 and will be 8 this year. He is very sporty with a bunch of friends so we will probably do a trampoline park with mcds afterwards for 6/8 friends.

Oh and currently ds(7) wants a good VR headset. But his birthday is October so we will see.
