Mother's Day gift ideas that are not flowers??

Every year I endeavour to think of unusual mothers day gift ideas as my mum like so many others hates flowers. So far so good but this year im drawing a blank and wondered if anyone could help.

Ideas in the past have been:
Chocolate covered fruit bouquet.
Framed family portrait.
Bath bombs.
Personalised keyring.
Iced cookies in assorted designs.
Pencil sketched portrait.
Jewellery.
Random stuff she's asked for but this year she cannot think of anything.

It doesn't have to be elaborate or expensive but shes been a bloody godsend recently and therefore I want to show my appreciation but I honestly have no idea what to get her.

What gifts have been a hit with your non flower loving mums, nans, mils or other fabulous women in your life. Smile

My mum always loves getting handbags.

I like doing a spa day with my daughter for Mother’s Day or buying plants for the garden

I’m a pensioner. My adult DDs got me an hour’s tuition with a racing driver, then a session in a souped up rally car!
Beats the shit out of flowers and chocs. I await this year’s present with interest....

I am getting a gift bag and filling it with stuff she likes, it’s not really anything posh it will just be teabags (she’s a tea addict) M & S biscuits, her favourite crisps, a couple books from the charity shop, bubble bath. It will only cost about £10 and she would prefer it to a posh box of chocolates as she often doesn’t eat all of them. She can take the books back to the charity shop when she’s read then too Smile

YesIDoLoveCrisps that sounds amazing only my DM would never go go for that as she has everything and is hard to buy for. She has alot more money than I do so anything cheap she already has! I'm going down the home baking route I think and a card the day before. It difficult but I do think it's the card that counts and remembering. I'm a mother myself so i wonder what dh will get from the dc, hoping something inexpensive and sentimental...Smile

We've done vouchers for a pub chain this year. Or presents have to go in the post so we've done scarves and books and other vouchers in previous years.

My Mum loves flowers, but I like to mix it up a bit, so in the past I have bought her:

Recipe journal - she loves cooking and it helps her keep track of recipe's she loves (added bonus that she will pass it on to me cos I love her food)

Professional oven clean - yes, seriously. She actually requested this as she hates doing it (I got her some flowers & chocs)

Afternoon tea at the Savoy (it's unlimited so whilst the sandwiches might be small you will not leave hungry)

Coffee machine - uses it every day

Tickets to a SCD pro dancers' show

Cinema membership

Magazine subscriptions

I'm in the same boat as your OP - the last few months she has been amazing so I want to show my appreciation
