Songs/music which give you chills/shivers

I thought I'd start a positive thread to counter the horrible stuff going on at the moment. Yes, I have "underlying health issues," as do many of my close family, but I don't want to think about 'it' all the time!

Instead, I wondered if anyone else gets shivers or chills in their brain when they hear their favourite bits of songs. It may not be widespread, it might be a side effect of my antidepressants, a surge of serotonin?! Anyway, I was just listening to my YouTube list and, off the top of my head, found that the same bits of songs affect me in this way. In my case, in Nightswimming by REM, it's the line that goes "September's coming soon, Pining for the moon." Another one is the bit in It Must be Love by Madness where the violin comes in after the line "As soon as I wake up, every night, every day" and there are 4 rising notes played. It's weird how those particular parts affect my brain that way!
Would anyone like to share the bits of songs or music which give them shivery, pleasant feelings?

There's a part in I'D Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That) where he sings

And some nights I lose the feeling
And some nights I lose control
Some nights I just lose it all
When I watch you dance and the thunder rolls

There's just something about it. It's him telling her how in love with her he is. She's just dancing and he's completely captivated by her. It's hearing the power you can have over someone, and not even realise it.

Also Meatloaf, I love the lyrics

You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back
Come on, come on, it's time to burn up the fuse
You got nothing to do and even less to lose

From Out of the Frying Pan (and into the fire)

Also

And I can make it, I know I can
You broke the boy in me, but you won't break the man

From St. Elmo's Fire. Breaks my heart.

Slash's solo in November Rain. Haunting and incredible.

May it be - Enya , sounds so magical oh yes and haunting i cant play it in the car!!!

'The sound of silence' Disturbed gives me goosebumps its so powerful.

'Misty mountains' from the Hobbit again so haunting and sad. All those deep tones of thier voices.

"Into the west" Annie Lennox

The beginning of ' Nothing Else Matters' Metallica. Softly softly and the way it builds to a crescendo. Chills galore 😀

The countdown on Space Oddity by David Bowie always gives me the chills.

Meatloaf- for crying out loud
“For pulling me away when I'm starting to fall
For revving me up when I'm starting to stall
And all in all
For that I want you
For taking and for giving and for playing the game
For praying for my future in the days that remain
Oh Lord
For that I hold you”

Waterloo Sunset- The Kinks

Show me heaven- Maria McKee
Particularly the bit where she says ‘though I’m barely touching you, sends shivers down my spine’

This woman's work by Kate Bush. Gets me every time.

Queen- "Who wants to live forever "

Fleetwood Mac- "Gold dust woman" the last few minutes, when you can hear the glass smashing, gives me shivers every time.

I'm Dreaming Again by Thunder, especially the 2019 acoustic version ("I've only got myself to blame" gets me every time)

Chris Cornell & Eddie Vedder singing Hunger Strike on the Temple of The Dog album.

The guitar solo in Blackbird and the slow bit of Open Your Eyes by Alter Bridge.

The Piano intro to Descending by the Black Crowes.

One for the Prince fans on the thread is Pearl Cadillac by Gary Clark Jr. It was written for his mother.
"You say I owe you nothing
If I could I'd give you the world"

Feel Flows by the Beach Boys. It’s at the end of Almost Famous.

Makes me want to put on my flared jeans and be a pot-smoking hippie in 1970s California.

Also America by Simon and Garfunkel. “The moon rose over an open field.” Glorious! Loooong Greyhound bus journey.
