I work in a school and love seeing the things in the kids lunchboxes. One child had this lovely looking bread and I really want to know what it was... no luck trying to find it at Tesco

It was a white bread, quite thick and fluffy looking (not dense) and had these tiny little black dots (seeds) all over

Does anyone know what it was? Would love to try it

Was it a sliced bread? Did it look like a fresh loaf or from a packet?
Sounds like poppy seeds on top.

Definitely sounds like poppy seeds. Must be from the bakery section.... I'm sure I've seen poppy seed bloomers in the bakery section of either Waitrose or Sainsbury's.

Fresh bread or packet bread?

I make something similar at home and I use nigella seeds, it's delicious. I think you can find this type of bread in Middle eastern/ Turkish places.

You could also look in the child’s lunch box for clues where the parents do their food shopping, ie brand items from a particular supermarket?!!!
